WAS my first impression of Cody’s crew formed when I arrived to the cabin, to a bunch of guys wildly laughing together?
Yes, and it was pretty great. Luckily the vibe carried into the whole day for basically the most fun I’ve ever had at a wedding.

IS Allyssa a glamorous woodland creature?
Yes. The really sweet + happy kind.

FLORAL chandelier?!
Yes. A majestic thing of dried blooms, done by the groom’s sis who is hella talented.

SO many ceremony photos?
It’s record breaking for me, I know. That’s what happens when the bride + groom are surprised by a band starting up with All You Need Is Love, your buddies break out of formation to sing, your wedding party breaks out the kazoos, and it’s the most wonderful, magical moment ever. This wedding really just wins best music all around. The song from The Wedding Singer played as the couple recessed, and later on in the night we were jamming to Apollo Cobra which was next level.

IS this whole blog just extra long or?
YES, I couldn’t narrow it down, don’t want to narrow it down. The details were cleeearly stunning, but more importantly: the attitudes were too. These two are surrounded by so much love—the big, powerful kind—and my mascara was already wrecked within the first hour of shooting. It really was the best of both worlds: artfully planned yet still lived to the fullest. What a perfect way to start Day 1 of marriage, eh?
