Who are these sessions for?

Mini sessions are designed for groups of 6 or less. These can be single families, couples, maternity, a few branding shots—let’s chat about what you’re envisioning. The session types that aren’t conducive to a mini structure are boudoir, multi-family, newborns under 3 months, or families with very shy children that need longer than 15 minutes to open up to the camera. Confetti can also be hit or miss depending on specific kids! Some love it, some find it suspicious. In my experience, most kids older than 2 years enjoy it.

How is a mini different from a full session?

Minis are shorter shoots that work best with a more singular focus, e.g. a pregnancy announcement or milestone birthday. There is less variety in posing, number of backgrounds, and groupings, and it costs less than a full session. Minis are only offered a couple times a year as my availability allows, while full sessions of 30 and 60 minutes come with a wider range of options and customizations.

What should I wear?

Confetti tosses will happen on a plain white background and/or a bright blue option, and the confetti will be multi-colored. Going with white/neutral knits for your ensemble will help the confetti pop. Going colorful with your outfits will add another fun burst. Works either way!

With every session, I’m aiming to grab a few shots with a classic studio look before the throwing begins. We can start more traditional look then add a fun, colorful, or quirky accessory for the confetti! Think colorful beanies, jackets, novelty sunglasses—it’s all welcome!

Can we bring pets?

It’s not advised this time!

What if I’m running late?

Please account for extra time getting to the studio. There is a 10 minute buffer between sessions that will be needed to buzz you in and escort you into the building, and I won’t be able to infringe on the next client’s shooting time.
