What does the studio look like?

It’s my understanding that it’ll be the same (or similar) as last year. Here’s a look at last year! The vibe feels modern, minimal, cozy, light + warm. I love it.

Who are these sessions for?

Mini sessions are designed for groups of 6 or less. These can be single families, couples, maternity—let’s chat about what you’re envisioning. The session types that aren’t conducive to a mini structure are boudoir, multi-family, and newborns under 3 months. If you would like to do one of these shoots, or if you’d like more time added to your mini slot, contact me.

How is a mini different from a full session?

Minis are shorter shoots that work best with a more singular focus, e.g. a holiday card, pregnancy announcement, or milestone birthday. There is less variety in posing, number of backgrounds, and groupings, and it costs less than a full session. It takes advantage of a special location or a peak seasonal change and are only offered a couple times a year as my availability allows, while full sessions of 30 and 60 minutes come with a wider range of options, customizations, and flexibility.

What should I wear?

For this spot, I’m envisioning lots of texture + knits! Neutral colors and earth tones are easiest to coordinate across a group. Blacks, whites, creams, and browns would look gorg in this space, or you can also go bold with your colors and prints in such a minimal studio. Whatever you fancy, please limit clothing to 1 outfit per person as there is not enough time to change during a mini.

Can we bring pets?

Not this time!

What if I’m running late?

Please account for extra time getting to the studio! I’ve incorporated a 5 minute time cushion between sessions that allows for a few extra minutes of make-up time, although I won’t be able to infringe on the next client’s prep and shooting time.
