How do I book?

Send me an email, either via my contact form above or to kimberly@studiokh.com, and I’ll confirm that your selected time is still available. Once a $100 deposit is paid, your spot is secured. (The remainder is due on or before our session date.)

Who are these sessions for?

Mini sessions are designed for groups of 6 or less. These can be single families, couples, maternity, a few headshots—let’s chat about what you’re envisioning. The session types that aren’t conducive to a mini structure are boudoir, multi-family, and newborns under 3 months. If you would like to do one of these shoots, or if you’d like more time added to your mini slot, contact me.

How is a mini different from a full session?

Minis are shorter shoots that work best with a more singular focus, e.g. a candid motherhood session or pregnancy announcement. There is less variety in posing, number of backgrounds, and groupings, and it costs less than a full session. On the plus side: it’s easier on young children with short attention spans, allows for more family documentation outside of the classic yearly shoot, and takes advantage of a special location or a peak seasonal change. Minis are only offered a couple times a year as my availability allows, while full sessions come with a wider range of options and customizations.

What should I wear?

For this space, I’m envisioning lots of knits! Sweaters and the like feel extra cozy against the exposed brick. The simplicity of the white space lends itself well to more white in clothing options alongside neutral palettes, like blacks, creams, and browns. I’d love to see a mother/son duo in a matching plain white t-shirt and jeans look, and I’m most excited about the bed option to get some fun family snuggles. Whatever you fancy, please limit clothing to 1 outfit per person as there is not enough time to change during a mini.

What if I’m running late?

Please account for extra time getting to the studio! I’ve incorporated a time cushion between sessions that allows for a few extra minutes of make-up time, although I won’t be able to infringe on the next client’s prep and shooting time. Please arrive no sooner than 10 minutes early, so I can come down and open the door for you.
