Laura + Andrew >> Overture Center for the Arts Wedding (Madison, WI)

They’re kind of like the Kennedys.
But with less drama.

Except we’re swapping out the national capital in favor of the Wisconsin seat.
(But don’t worry, we kept that classic gorgeous architecture, featuring it multiple times throughout the day.)

Oh, and there’s not only champagne and cute canapés—
We’re throwing some Spotted Cow (what else?) into the mix and 50 pounds of squeaky cheese curds that the groom bought at the downtown farmer’s market earlier that morning.

Although the drama-free part? I suppose that’s not quite right. After all, L+A were 30 minutes away from having to make the call to move the reception venue after an explosion at the power plant the night before. Oh, and a tornado took down Family P’s garage, the news of which was received right before we got our bride dressed. And some severe whether did hit us in Madison, necessitating a runaway bride reenactment to reach proper cover. But would you ever guess it to see all those smiles??

Those small touches and interactions between the two of them, that you sense are present even when a crowd and camera are not?
Andrew always offering his arm to Laura.
She, always sending smiles his way.

It’s an obvious comfort that exists between them, with layers of love and respect throughout. And even though I only witnessed one day of their relationship—day ONE as husband and wife!—I nonetheless can’t shake the feeling that these two are gonna be okay. That they’ve got this marriage thing.

I know life will throw them more challenges than a power outage, a garage, and some rain.
But look how beautifully their wedding day turned out: full of contagious joy and plenty of cheese.
Just the way I like it.

Congrats, L+A!
It’s been such a pleasure getting to record these precious memories—

Vendor shout-outs for this all star team! (All of whom I cannot recommend highly enough.)
