Dance Floor
Let’s boogie, baby!
A few tips for optimal dance floor coverage—
For the first few slow dances in dark environments, I choose my lighting set-up based on the conditions present. Whether that’s utilizing a DJ’s light panel, shining my own little spotlight, or setting up flashes on stands, I’d ask that you try to stay in that light for the majority of your moves.
If you’re planning something elaborate—a choreographed dance sequence or special dip kiss?—let me know ahead of time! I want to know how and when to anticipate it so I can grab that money shot.
Don’t immediately ditch the dance floor once it’s opened up to the rest of your guests. Sticking around and dancing with one another for at least one upbeat song will make the full wedding story feel complete in your photos.
If opting for a dollar dance, it’s best to slot that into a time after I’ve left for the night. They can easily last upwards of 30 minutes and will slow the pace of your coverage considerably.
Want to take the fun up a notch for your guests? Have glow wands or other fun props available to dance with!
